OneDrive Internal and External Sharing

Description

ITS has enabled internal and external sharing. You can share and unshare using Windows File Explorer or through the Web.

• Sharing options
  • Internal sharing:
    • Any Gannon Account
    • Login with Gannon credentials
  • External sharing:
    • Just a link
    • Open to anyone with the URL
    • URL can be secured with a password 
• Sharing to external people only works for your onedrive, not if the file lives in a teams site.

Instructions

Share through Windows file explorer:

1. Open the file explorer 

2. Navigate to OneDrive file, right click and select "share"

3. Chose who/how to send to 

Sharing through the web:

Don't have option to share link:

1. Go to User Account Setting in control panel and if set it to Never Notify, change it back to default. Then Reboot.
2. Navigate to Control Panel
3. Select "User Accounts" and "User Accounts" again
4. Select "Change User Account Control settings"
5. If set it to Never Notify, change it back to default.

6. Reboot Computer
