I haven't been connected to the Gannon network recently, do I need to do anything special?

Directions for Student, Faculty or Staff personal and Gannon devices:

  • Both Windows & MAC computers must have an up to date antivirus installed (Windows 10 comes with Windows Defender)
  • Connect to GU Wireless.
  • Open a browser and go to connect.gannon.edu
  • Sign in with your Gannon credentials, download, and launch the FortiNAC Agent.
  • This will check that both an approved antivirus and Windows software are up-to-date.
  • If Windows updates are required, refer to KB 82852

A rescan of your computer is required once a semester to verify that your system software is up-to-date and that you have a working antivirus software with up-to-date virus definitions.  These rescan dates are communicated to the Gannon community by portal announcements.
