How to Apply for an ITS Help Desk Student Technican Position

The ITS Help Desk regularly has openings for student workers. Develop communication and customer service skills working in ITS while building your academic career at the same time.

Duties of an ITS student worker include answering Help Desk phones, resolving user’s computer problems, printer support, research of issues as needed and other duties as assigned. No expert computer skills are required as most skills can be learned on the job. Guided instructions will be given, but the new hire must be able to learn on their own through resources provided. Student workers need to be dependable, responsible, communicate effectively and have good customer service skills. Hours for student workers are normally between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; however, we do have evening and weekend hours available.

Applying for the Help Desk Student Worker (Student Technician) position:

  1. Go to https://gannon.peopleadmin.com
  2. Click on “Create Account” and create an account if you don't have one already
  3. Click the “Search Jobs” link
  4. Select the Position Type of “Student” and click search
  5. Look for the Help Desk Student Worker (Student Technician) position and apply
