Windows Updates will Complete Automatically
To help keep you current with FortiNAC wireless scans, ITS is implementing automatic Windows updates for Gannon computers.
You Will Get a Heads Up
When updates are ready to install, they will install on their own. If a restart is necessary, you will get a pop up to be sure the restart does not happen in the middle of your work.
Select a Restart Time
If it is convenient, you can close out of your current work and restart the computer now. If you click View Settings, it will take you to the Update & Security screen and tell you what updates are pending restart. It will also give you the option to Restart Now.
If you close the notification window the update(s) will still be pending and overnight the computer will restart on its own during the maintenance window.
