Description

Data Loss Prevention (DLP) is a security solution that identifies and helps prevent unsafe or inappropriate sharing, transfer, or use of sensitive data. It can help your organization monitor and protect sensitive information across on-premises systems, cloud-based locations, and endpoint devices. It also helps you achieve compliance with regulations such as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA).

This helps reduce the risk sent to external people.  This policy is applied to all employees and detects when content is sent in email message, Teams chat or channel message, or OneDrive document.

The policy being applied pertains to GLBA

GLBA = Credit Card Number, US Bank Account Number, US Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, Social Security Number, US/UK Passport Number, and US Driver’s License.
