Virtual Apps provide access to Gannon software applications from any device – laptop, desktop, or smartphone on or off campus!
Information:
The Azure Virtual Desktop AVD application delivers applications from a secure, centralized location to your computer or mobile device. The applications will continue to have the same look and feel as if it was running on your computer. No VPN connection required to access while off campus.
There are two options with in the AVD, GU-APPHost-W11 that everyone has access to and GU-VIDHost-W11 that certain permission needs to be granted for.
The following Virtual Apps are available to all Gannon Students and only active Faculty and Staff on the GU-APPHost-W11 Desktop:
- Anaconda
- Google Earth Pro
- Integrated Accounting 8th Addition
- JASP
- LogiCola
- MediaLab v2016
- MS Office 365
- MS Teams
- Oracle VM VirtualBox
- R
- RStudio
- StatalC
The following Virtual Apps are available to Gannon Students and only active Faculty and Staff on the GU-VIDHost-W11 Desktop who have been granted access:
- ArcGIS Pro
- ArcMap
- MS Office 365
- MS Teams
Please go to https://virtual.gannon.edu and sign in with your Gannon credentials. Click on the Session Desktop that you need to access and you will be prompted to sign in again. It should auto fill your Gannon email and you will enter the same password as your Gannon email.
