PC Allocation

Description

PC Allocation is when Faculty and Staff's primary computers/laptops are replaced with new ones.

More Information

The objective of the PC Allocation Program is to provide Faculty and Staff with technology to meet their fundamental computing needs. ITS funds the replacement of old systems with a university standard system. If the Faculty or Staff has a need greater than the standard, then their department or division would be responsible for any additional costs. Faculty and Staff primary systems are the only systems eligible for replacement under this program.

The program generally begins during the fall semester. A list of the oldest Faculty and Staff computers is created for replacement prioritization and is presented to each Vice President or Dean. ITS also requests that each Vice President and Dean circulate a “Computing Needs” form to their staff. The final list is created with this information. The Faculty and Staff on the list are contacted to arrange the replacement. Installation generally begins during the spring semester.
