Self-Service Unable to Sign in: Error AADSTS75011

Description

Error when trying to sign into Self-Service:
'Sorry, but we're having trouble signing you in. AADSTS75011: Authentication method 'X509, MultiFactor' by which the user authenticated with the service doesn't match requested authentication method 'Password, ProtectedTransport'. Contact the Colleague Self Service Live application owner."

Resolution/Troubleshooting 

Delete Passwordless Sign-in:

  • Navigate to office.com and sign in with your Gannon account.
  • Select 'View Account' under your name in the top right corner, then 'Security info' on the left panel.
    • Verify identity if prompted. If unable to verify, call the Help Desk to get MFA reset.
  • Delete 'passwordless sign in'.

Add Another Verification Method:

Still Getting The Error:

  1. Clear the history in the web browser, close the browser, and then try again.
  2. Try to sign in with a private/incognito window in your browser.
