Self-Service: How to Remove a Currently Existing Proxy

Description

Self-Service has a person proxy system for students to grant access to who they want, to information such as student finance, academics, general, financial aid, and tax information. Access can be removed or adjusted by the student on Self-Service at anytime.

  • Access must be given by the student and can only be removed or adjusted by the student on Self-Service. 

Resolution/Troubleshooting

Removing Access:

  • Log into My.gannon.edu
  • Select Gannon Self Service under my GU applications
    • It will prompt you to Log in again

  • Under left menu, click user options
    • Select the drop-down option of “view/Add Proxy”

  • All currently listed Proxies will be listed on this page. Find the name of the Proxy that you want to remove access permissions for.
    • Click on the pencil icon that is by their name

  • In this screen you will see all current access your Proxy has. Check the box of “Remove All Access”. All prior checked boxes will now be removed.
    • Press save when finished.

  • After saving and changing updates, you will see a box appear like below on the “View/Add Proxy Access” page.

  • You will also see that they are no longer listed on the “View/Add Proxy Access” page.

  • Your listed proxy will receive an email that states their access has been updated or removed.


Removed access by accident:

  • Go to the “Select a Proxy” drop down menu and select their name. You can then reselect their access permissions.

  • You will have to agree to the Disclosure Agreement again by checking the authorize box and save.

  • You will now see them added back into your “Active Proxies” page and they will receive and email stating that they have been granted proxy access to your account.
