Description
Self-Service has a person proxy system for students to grant access to who they want, to information such as student finance, academics, general, financial aid, and tax information. Access can be removed or adjusted by the student on Self-Service at anytime.
More Information
- Access must be given by the student and can only be removed or adjusted by the student on Self-Service.
Resolution/Troubleshooting
Setting up a New Proxy:
- Log into my.gannon.edu
- Select Gannon Self Service under my GU applications
- It will prompt you to Log in again
- Under left menu, click user options
- Select the drop-down option of “view/Add Proxy”
- Once in the “View/Add Proxy Access” screen, you can add an existing relationship from the “Select a Proxy” drop-down.
- If the person you want is not in the drop-down list, select the “Add another user” option.
- You will then be required to enter data about the person including their first and last name, email, phone number and type of phone (home or cell), and relationship. There is also optional data that can be entered to help the system determine if the person already exists in Colleague or not.
- Then, select the level of access your proxy will have.
- If you choose “Allow Complete Access”, they will have access to all the information below. Otherwise, choose “Allow Select Access” and check the areas you wish to grant access to. Access can be granted or revoked by the student at any time.
Note: Currently, Financial Aid information is not available, but will be in a later version
- Finally, you must agree to the FERPA agreement by checking the “I authorize the institution to disclose my information to this party” button and clicking “Save”.
