Self-Service: How to Edit a Currently Existing Proxy

Description

Self-Service has a person proxy system for students to grant access to who they want, to information such as student finance, academics, general, financial aid, and tax information. Access can be removed or adjusted by the student on Self-Service at anytime.


More Information

  • Access must be given by the student and can only be removed or adjusted by the student on Self-Service. 
  • To change the personal email on file for a proxy account, please contact the registrar's office.

Resolution/Troubleshooting 

Change a Existing Proxys Access:

  • Log into My.gannon.edu
  • Select Gannon Self Service under my GU applications
    • It will prompt you to Log in again

  • Under left menu, click user options
    • Select the drop-down option of “view/Add Proxy”

  • All currently listed Proxies will be listed on this page. *If you do not see the name you want to edit permissions for, please follow “How to Add a Proxy” instructions. Find the name of the Proxy that you want to edit permissions for.
    • Click on the pencil icon that is by their name

  • In this screen you will see all current access your Proxy has. Uncheck the box of the appropriate setting to edit access to or you can check a box to grant access.
    • Click save when finished.

  • After saving and changing updates, you will see a box appear like below on the “View/Add Proxy Access” page.

  • Your listed proxy will receive an email that states their access has been updated or removed.
